We didn’t start as runners—we started as parents.
We were swimmers. Water polo players. Athletes who understood discipline—but not running culture. Then we became parents, and suddenly we had four runners looking to us for answers we didn’t have. We were guessing—packing snacks, cheering from the fence, hoping our effort was enough.
Then came the moment that changed everything.
October 2021. League Finals.
Our 15-year-old son, Justus, gave everything he had… and crossed the line last. The car ride home was silent until he said quietly:
“I will become a champion… whatever it takes.”
That wasn’t just a goal. It was a belief moment. And it forced a question we couldn’t ignore:
How do you support a runner’s dream when you don’t yet understand the journey?
So running changed us first. We went all in—nutrition, recovery, mindset, altitude, coaching—but something unexpected happened. We found running partners. We rooted down. We started training not just for races—but for life.
Running became prayer.
Movement became medicine.
Miles began to lighten burdens we didn’t even know we were carrying.
That’s when we realized something profound:
It wasn’t just our son’s race.
It was every runner’s race.
And behind every runner was a parent carrying more than anyone could see.
RunnerParent was born to close the gap.
Not the gap between fast and slow—but the gap between runners chasing dreams and parents trying to keep up. Between pressure and belief, burnout and rhythm, showing up alone and growing together.
RunnerParent exists to strengthen the constellation behind every runner—parents, families, coaches, and communities—so no one carries the journey alone. Because when parents grow, runners rise, and when parents move, belief multiplies.
That’s what we call Victory in Every Step™.
But belief alone isn’t enough.
As RunnerParent grew, we saw something clearly: not every runner starts with the same access, not every family has the same support, and not every community has the same opportunity. Belief can ignite a dream… but access determines whether it survives.
That’s why GivJoi exists—to create access and opportunity for youth runners where it matters most. Through GivJoi, RunnerParents help place shoes on runners in need, support local and global running communities, turn everyday movement into meaningful impact, and give belief somewhere to land—because belief shouldn’t depend on circumstance.
Our fortune to share is to give back to the running community.
RunnerParent builds belief.
GivJoi extends it.
Together, they transform lives—one step at a time.
